Synopsis

In 1946, in less than half a second, a 14-pound core of plutonium going supercritical released over 1000 rad of neutron radiation... such an exposure brings death in 9-days-time.
About
—
Originally designed as an AFI assignment for Cinematographers, Demon Core was shot on celluloid without any sound. After shooting, Ariano came to me to help edit the piece together. In addition to cutting, I created a soundscape from scratch, one that hopefully matches the beauty and gruesomeness of Ariano's footage.
