I had the pleasure of working with my friend, Kate McCarthy, on her first doc. Created as a run-and-gun intimate look at her father's relationship to The Beach Boys, and Kate's relationship to her father, this was a fun and challenging one to cut. In the end, the film became a balancing act of reality and fiction.
