When Joe discovers his high school crush has moved into his nursing home, he asks his best friend Alma for help, but little does he know, she has a crush of her own.

In a home for seniors, Joe has grown frustrated with daily rituals reminding him of his mortality. He relies on Alma to lift his spirits since she appreciates life, but Joe is stubborn. He wants to make up for lost time when his high school crush, Daphne, moves into their home. Joe asks Alma for help to win over Daphne, and she happily obliges. Even though Joe wins over Daphne, he still feels something missing. He goes to Alma's room for their morning walk, but she has died. He goes on their walk alone. Now he is reminded of Alma in his daily rituals, and finally he cracks a smile.
